AmaZulu Name Zwane, Vilakazi as New Coaches
Ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach, Arthur Zwane, has been appointed as the new co-coach of AmaZulu FC.
In a statement released via their social media accounts on Tuesday, 8 October, Usuthu announced that Zwane will co-manage the Durban-based outfit alongside former Richards Bay FC coach, Vusimuzi Vilakazi.
Their joint appointment follows the dismissal of Pablo Franco Martin by AmaZulu last week, after the team lost all three of their opening matches in the new Betway Premiership season.
Club president Sandile Zungu conveyed his excitement regarding the appointments of Zwane and Vilakazi, expressing confidence in the pair’s potential to transform the club’s fortunes.
“Their combined experience as both coaches and former professional players will be crucial in developing our younger talents and guiding our seasoned players in the task ahead,” he said.
AmaZulu are scheduled to face Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, Gauteng on 25 October – here’s hoping that the new coaching duo can motivate the players to improve their performance after a challenging start to the season!
